She got passed by a guy pushing a baby stroller, but in the end Val won her age division in the 10K by coming in hot at 45:48.
Time is running short for Santa, but he was able to squeeze one last race in before Christmas crunch time.
It was 42 degrees at race time in Irvine but the sun was shining so while Val ran, I stood on a rock and warmed up like a lizard.
The event was The Make Room For Santa 5 & 10K Run. It was a smaller, but well-run event and nice (for me) as it was close to home.
