Lean & Hungry Fitness posted an interesting article by Mark Sisson from his Daily Apple blog on anti-aging drugs. (I suppose I am now of the age where I pay attention to stuff like this, although Val says I am doing pretty well in this department…in spite of myself). Sisson also lists the Top 10 health scams and the 10 most worthless drugs. My favorite:

4. The Pecker Pills (Levitra/Viagra/Cialis)

Hey, not being able to get it up just might be God’s (or Charles’) way of reminding you that you shouldn’t have a shot at passing your genes along so some other poor bastard can share your fate. These are drugs of de-evolution. They reward genetic inferiority. Oh, were you expecting this post to be politically correct?

In spite of a glorious day outside, I went inside to train, doing Snatch progressions as described by coach Mike Burgener of Mike’s Gym.

After doing some warm-ups including an 800 meter run, some Crossfit and Burgener warm-ups, I went straight to the fun stuff.

5 sets, 3 reps each of Overhead Squats, Pressing Snatch Balance, Heaving Snatch Balance and Snatch Balances.

45/65/70/75/80#.

I finished this fun session by doing single handed and transfer (x) kettlebell swings with a 20 kg bell.

20/30x/30x/20/35x.
