The dog days of summer are upon us and I have avoided going to the gym all week, opting to train outside on the grass, but today I went there and sucked it up. My WOD was done half inside, including 3 rounds of warm-ups, the other half outside.
Earlier in the day, it looked simple. I have to do only two things: 5 rounds of 400 meter runs and 25 back extensions. Once I got into the gym, however, I wasn’t looking forward to it and it looked more daunting.
The best way is to just GO and that is what I did. At the end of 5 rounds, My time was 19:55, the year of my birth. (I turn 52 on the 19th). There, that wasn’t so bad!
After I cooled down a bit, I broke out “Al” my first kettlebell, a 20 kg bell and did a few swings.
