Late in the afternoon, I’m feeling it from the earlier morning workout and the entire week and I’m thinking a nap would be nice right about now. That was until Brent called and suggested we meet at Met-Rx and do the next WOD, the shoulder press. We had talked about it earlier, but I thought probably neither of us would have the energy for more lifting. In my case, I knew I had a day off and Brent was going to do a Painstorm WOD tomorrow or something else cooked up by Steve. But Brent did have the energy, I rallied and we had a good session. After I left, Brent was still lifting!

My stats for the Shoulder Press, 5×5 were 65/85/105/150*/135. 150 is now my new 5RM.

I also tested my bench press which I had not done heavy since my shoulder injury 7 or 8 weeks ago. My right arm still lagged but it was at 185 instead of 135. I just have to build it back up but I did the following sets:
135/155/175/185, 5 reps/set. All in all, it was a good day for lifting. Now it is on some rest!
