Some days the best part of a workout is the shower afterwards. Today was such a day. I stalled and putzed around the house and then finally dragged my slacker butt to the gym. Once I got there, I stalled some more, taking as much time as possible to warm-up; never mind I was already hot and sweaty and I hadn’t done anything yet. Once I did start, slowly at that, the internal dialogue continued, should I stay or should I go? My inner wuss threatened to join forces with the inner complainer and inner whiner to take over and give me the day off, a day early.

Ok, so I rallied and kicked those little bastards to the curb and got on with the workout. The workout was simple, but characteristically brutal.

3 rounds for time,
95# barbell thrusters
21 pull-ups, assisted

All sets were broken into almost as many pieces as my ex-wife’s Waterford crystal plate that I dropped years ago. (Now that’s a memory that doesn’t need to be re-visited)!

It was a long 15:58 but that is another "deposit in the bank"! Tomorrow is a rest day, so no internal dialogue to distract.
