One of the more interesting and simple WODs is the one where you do this:
With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute… continuing as long as you are able. It starts off easy but then it is like you hear the train a’ comin’, then you see the train and then it is rollin’ right over you. I have done this a few times in the past but could not do the pull-ups so I did the jumping pull-ups and the cardio cost of those got steep in the later going.

Today, was the first time I was able to do pull-ups, any way, any how, just get the chin over the bar. I did not do it as prescribed and it wasn’t by design either, but for every new set I would add two to the previous set. It was like this: 1/1, 2/2, 3/4, 4/6, 5/8, 6/10 and 7/12 and done. It would have been nice if i would have re-read the page to get it right, but this was pretty good too. I will do it again the right way soon to establish a baseline for future progress.

I also resumed my 6 set push-up routine, posting 50/30/30/30/35/36, total 211. I did these after the pull-ups and that made them even more difficult, but that was the point.

The glutes, hammies and quads were all complaining today after the lunge-squat-back extension WOD. Guess I don’t do those often enough.
