Happy New Year!!
Steve and Denise of Crossfit Marina put together a great New Years Day workout. In the spirit of the traditional Polar Bear swim on New Years Day in the cold weather states, we jumped in their unheated 47 degree pool and went down and back a total of three times. In the Crossfit spirit, we also did three rounds each of 400 meter run, 15 slam balls, 15 burpees and 15 dumbell thrusters. Times were kept, but who cared? Afterwards, Steve, Denise and their girls had a Continental-style breakfast set up on their front patio. After we all changed into our dry clothes it was great to sit in the warm, Califonia morning sun and visit. Not surprising, was the big turnout for this, the first WOD of 2007. (What do you call a herd of polar bears)? Make sure you take a look at the photo gallery.
