This is what the WOD I was supposed to do today looked like, but had I to make some necessary adjustments. My scaled WOD was tough, but in no way was it as tough as this…
For time:
15 Handstand push-ups
1 L Pull-up
13 Handstand push-ups
3 L Pull-ups
11 Handstand push-ups
5 L Pull-ups
9 Handstand push-ups
7 L Pull-ups
7 Handstand push-ups
9 L Pull-ups
5 Handstand push-ups
11 L Pull-ups
3 Handstand push-ups
13 L Pull-ups
1 Handstand push-up
15 L Pull-ups
The adjustments were bent leg but vertical HSPUs and got my nose to the deck, full extensions and no breaks. That was a good thing. The L pull-ups were another thing altogether. I did one, but after that, I substituted by doing hanging knees to elbows and those became damn hard at the end. Those were the toughest. my time was 11:48.
I stuck around afterwards to work on kipping pull-ups, but there wasn’t a whole lot left.

2Nice work on those HSPUs. Man, I wish I could get that deep with those. I think maybe, just maybe, I may have brushed my hair against the ground once during the entire set. Then again, maybe that was just static electricity.
