In honor of Navy Lieutenant Michael McGreevy, 30, of Portville, NY, who was
killed in Afghanistan June 28, 2005.

The price of freedom, and its worth, is found in Michael’s passing. The debt
owed to Michael and his family can never be repaid but only honored by
remembering Michael and remaining free.

I have done this WOD several times with times ranging from 22 minutes and change to 26 and some, which is where I was today.

It rolls like this:
Three rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters
50 Back Extensions
50
Sit-ups

The runs were slower and surprisingly, the third set of back extensions had only one break. I had hit max heart rate at 170 bpm.

This workout was preceded by 3 rounds of the Crossfit Warmup and 3 jump rope sessions of 50/114/131.

It was a tough workout. It always is and I really need to get some smokers going as I have been gaining pounds of late

  3. “Michael”, for the 4th TimeThis is a very strenuous, yet somehow fun WOD. The trouble is, that the last 3 times I have done this, my times were about 2 minutes slower than the previous. I started at 22+ minutes and got slower from there. I guess some injuries hampered my past performances and...

  7. ElizabethAnother one of the “girl” workouts is Elizabeth and a tough one at that. It calls for 3 rounds of 135# cleans at reps of 21-15-9. The second part of that is ring dips in the same numbers. One of the great things about Crossfit is the scalability of the...
