One round into this five round blast, I knew this would be a kick in the shorts. It is amazing that just two exercises can so thoroughly wipe you out in so little time and these did.
Five rounds for time of:
45 pound barbell Overhead walking lunges, 50 feet
21 Burpees
Let trailing knee gently kiss the ground on each lunge.
So, I grabbed a 45# bar and took it outside and marked off 25′ so I could go out and back, set the bar down and do the burpees in the cool grass. The overhead walking lunges weren’t hard but towards the end they got a little wobbly a couple of times. I didn’t always "kiss" my knee to the pavement but for the most part I did. My time was 18:19.
Burpees are another story. These are hard, but as a bodyweight exercise, they cannot be beaten for their conditioning effect. All told, I did 105 of these bad boys. There are different variations of the burpee. This is the variation I did, although not as technically smooth as the animation:

1This one was rough. I found the only hard part about those lunges was turning around at the 25 foot mark.
The burpees are another matter. I cannot believe how much energy they suck out.
I was happy to see that one done.
