After a rest day, I thought I was ready to do the Crossfit Total but my allergies are still hanging on. Yet, in spite of it, I had posted some good totals on my lifts, only 10 lbs less than my PR and 15 lbs more than my CFT last month.

There were a lot of distractions at the gym tonight and apparently powerlifting is getting to be more popular here, which of course is a good thing…and a bad thing. Fortunately, I got to the "power corner" of Met-Rx in time to claim a squat rack. That meant I had to forgo my regular warm-up routine in favor of one that was specific to the three lifts I was going to do.There were some strong dudes working in the corner tonight, so while it was busy, it was also fun to lift through the distractions.

As, I got further along in the workout, I started coughing more and losing my voice, so this workout wasn’t about to help me get over this junk, but I forged ahead.

After warming up to perform three lifts each, I started first with…

Back Squats: 250/265/285. The last lift equals my 1RM.
Shoulder Press: 155/165/175.This last lift is 10 lbs less than my 1RM.
Deadlift: 305/365/370.
The 370 was 5 lbs off my my pr.

A good session for sure, but I’ll pay for it in a delayed recovery. I expect next month to get at least 1 PR.
