This is the hardest lift for me so to get better you just have to put in the reps. This WOD calls for 30 reps, but in the warm-up I did 6 sets of 3 reps with the bar from 45-95 lbs. before I even started the timed 30.

The working set of 30 was broken into two sets of 10 and the last 10 took 4 sets to finish. The total time for all 30 was 6:17 and my heart rate was up there. I started from the bottom but I did not get very deep in the squat.

Needless to say, as tough as this lift is for me, my form was never good to start with and only deteriorated from there. I did take the attention to try to perform each lift in the correct manner, but it wasn’t easy. The snatch is a great lift when it is done right.

Other than the difficulty of the lift, I was still under the weather with my my allergies and the congestion and headache to goes with it.
