This is the third time I have done Helen and it was the worst one! Glad it’s over! Helen is 3 rounds of 400 meter runs, 21 kettlebell or dumbbell swings of 55 lbs and 12 pull-ups or 24 jumping pull-ups, which is what I did. My time was a crappy 16:39 which was due in part to training at peak time at Met-Rx, where it was packed. I brought along the Garmin GPS to chart out a 400 meter course, but it wasn’t working right, so I guessed on the distance. The biggest problem though is I should have scaled the dumbbell to 35 lbs like I did the last time. I ended up doing just that for the third round, as I felt I could injure something at the rate things were going and that would be disastrous with just a couple days before my first Certification weekend. Cleans tomorrow and I will go light and stretch, as per good advice from SS and focus on form.
