After coming back from Val’s great race and in between playoff football, I got myself off the sofa and into the gym to do the last leg of the 5×5’s, which was the deadlift. I was off to a slow start which was fine since I warmed myself up well enough. The lifts, x 5 were 155 & 175 to warm up, then, 205/245/275/290* 5RM PR/245.

I then decided to so some shoulder presses since I was feeling strong. The stats: 45×8 and 65×8 to warm up, then 95×3/135×1/155×1 1RM pr.

I concluded with a few front squats at 45×8/65×8/95.5.

I tried a few pull-ups, which I haven’t done for a while, but I had nothing left. It turned out to be a good lifting day though. The day off yesterday was key.
