Crossfit has a terrific video showing the variations of ring push-ups demonstrated by Nicole. (She can train me anytime)!She is seriously strong and fit as Crossfit’s poster girl. If Nicole can’t come over to the house and show these to me in person, I will just have to try them out myself.
Deadlifts were on the menu tonight and I looked forward to doing them, as usual.
I started off with a couple of warm-up sets before doing 10 deadlift singles @ 80% of my 1RM. That ended up being 320 lbs. To keep it moving, I kept my rest period to a minute between lifts.
ISO-Deadlifts were next. I set the pins of the squat cage to knee level and squatted from there to lockout and then shrugged, trying to touch my shoulders to my ears. I expect my traps to be toast by tomorrow at this time. I did 10 singles of those as well. 155/245/245/295/315/300/300/285/265/265.
I am looking to move my deadlift from 400 to 425 or more by the end of the year, so we will see how the supplementary lifts contribute to that end.
