This was a workout that did not go so well. I went to the track at Corona del Mar High School to do a few 400 meter runs to calibrate the foot pod of my Polar S625X heart rate monitor. (Since I had trouble doing so, I ran 4 laps around the track). that made for a decent warm-up. Once there, I decided to do “Cindy” there as there was a rickety pull-up bar I could use. I was going to do jumping pull-ups and the bar was too high up, I had to do a MacGyver-like job of finding something to give me a boost. I found a pallet and a 5# bucket filled with concrete. It turned out to be unstable with the bucket falling over and screwing with my time. Long story short, I did 18+ rounds when I could have done 21 or 22. Cindy is 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups and 15 squats and is one of the benchmark wods. By far, I did best on the push-ups.

Today will be a rest day and tomorrow I go to the first day of my Crossfit Certification, joined by Brent, and 3 others from Crossfit Marina. Steve will be a trainer and Denise will be there, perhaps as atrainer as well. This will be held at the Orange County Fire Authority HQ on Jamboree Road in Tustin.
