Every now and then, something works well and I may even get a PR or too, but they are always a precursor to getting crushed! This time, the tires crushed!
New gear and old routines still can get it done. It was a good week and finished with the worst case of DOMS in years!
Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost a bit of strength. I was on the Velocity Diet for 3 days but switched over to the tried and true Warrior Diet.
This week was supposed to be a deload week and for the most part it was, except I hit it hard on Saturday. But that is ok, since I got plenty of rest this week.
This was my best squat workout in a while. I got nice and deep on all reps and felt great at 90% (315) which tells me my 1RM max is about to make an increase. I stuck with the plan and did the reps. they will come in handy when I go for a new PR.
This week again finished better than it started, making the first half of February not one of the most inspiring two weeks of training. But it is how you finish that is more important than how you start, right?
This was a good lifting week with personal bests in the deadlift and squat. Getting to the home stretch now!
