Step away from the weight machines, rack the barbell and go outside if you want to get freakishly strong. It’s called odd object lifting and it is not just for strongman competitors.

Just three training sessions a week! it’s all about the strength with a little stongman conditioning thrown in.
Good stuff happened this week and Tuesday was a high volume, CNS-blasting session, masterly programmed by the Brengel. The week finished with a deloading week, starting on Saturday, followed by an unexpected, surprise training session Sunday.
I did finally get it to the end, but it took all I had, which was more than I thought was left.
I thought a deload week would be easier than the previous 3 weeks. Different, tough, but not easy!
I started and finished this week with rest days, yet in between, I had the most challenging training sessions I can recall. What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger, right?
I started getting trained by my pal Scott of http://www.eastweststrength.com. After watching him train others from the old Freak Factory, I decided it was time for some real training. I came away with 2 killer sessions.
Another week to mix things up. The week started with a severe case of DOMS and finished with a smoldering central nervous system. In between was a hell of a good training week!
New gear and old routines still can get it done. It was a good week and finished with the worst case of DOMS in years!
