Like the previous races, I am her “caddy”. The American Heritage Dictionary in the #2. definition defines caddy as “A boy who does odd jobs.” Yep, that pretty well describes what I do!
This course was a little more challenging and Val felt a little performance anxiety since some of her friends and competitors were participants and she wanted to do well and, as expected, she did. In fact, only 1 second separated her time from yesterday to today on a harder course and legs that weren’t as fresh as they were 24 hours prior. So, here is another happy ending…
