Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Vasily Alekseyev passed away November 25, 2011 in Germany at age 69 due to serious heart problems. RIP Superman!
Alekseyev won Olympic Gold in the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games and has 80 world records to his credit and is considered an icon in Russian sport and weightlifting.
