Report: Freeman re-signs with team to retire as Packer

Former Green Bay Packers receiver Antonio Freeman has re-signed with the team so he can retire as a Packer, a source with the team said today.

Antonio was the Packers 5th all-time receiver and one of the stars of the Packers 1996 Super Bowl victory over New England. He was Brett Favre’s favorite receiver and the year of that Super Bowl win, "Free" was the leading receiver in the NFL. But one of his most memorable receptions was the catch he made in the rain against the hated Vikings, in overtime, on Monday Night Football…

Overtime on Monday Night Football. Packers against the Vikings. On 3rd down Favre throws Freeman a pass that is deflected but Freeman manages to bobble the ball, catch it, get up and run in the game winning TD.
