Thomas Inch Lifts His Dumbbell
I have been lamenting my weak unilateral strength which has been exposed with my recent work with dumbbells and then I come across this video of then 65 year old Thomas Inch lifting his famous Inch Dumbbell. Amazing!
The Inch dumbbell is 172 lbs with a 2.5 inch diameter handle and has become a legend in the old-time strongman world.
Inch had dumbbells weighing 75, 140, 153 and 172 lbs and all were characterized by very large diameter, hard to grip handles, which added greatly to the task of lifting it, which few men ever did.

Your concept of weak might not be mine. I did push day today.
It is all relative. I just got humbled (again) today.
It is all relative and ability on various exercises waxes and wanes. But no doubt you take the view that what you can’t do today, you’ll be able to do in three weeks.
I have to think like that otherwise I may never learn proper technique for the snatch and the clean. We mostly think about training our muscles to handle more weight, but you have to train the nervous system to handle the volume and to learn the techniques.
