So you can’t have it all, but if “strong and awesome” is what you seek, Jim Wendler has the plan. Like most plans that work, it is simple, yet flexible.
Wendler laid it out in “Blood and Chalk, vol. 10” and it is loaded!
The five components to a training session are:
Warm-up, ( jump rope, static and dynamic stretching, mobility work, foam rolling).
Dynamic Training, (box jumps, ball throws and the like).
Strength Training, the Big 5, (cleans, presses, squats, deadlifts and bench).
Assistance Work
Conditioning, (hill sprints, tire flips, prowlers are but a few).
If that isn’t enough for you, Wendler describes how to add in strongman training to the mix and lists the must-haves for for your garage gym.
Simple, yet powerful stuff.
