After taking off for 2 days to allow some more time to get rid of the sinus infection residual, I was ready again to lift.

I am doing a 16 week squat load progression to raise my numbers in the lift. The objective is to be able to do 2 sets of 3 reps of 285 lbs, which is currently my one rep max (1RM). What the new 1RM will be at the time remains to be seen (and perhaps guesstimated). I expect it to be well over 300#.

I did a lot of squats today. In the warm-ups, I did a total of 40 reps at between 45-65 lbs, including 10 reps of jumping squats.

From last week, I added a "dime" to the bar for 5 x 5 at 135 lbs and 5 x 5 at 85 lbs, where I stayed in the "hole" for a three count.

Between sets at 135, during the rest, i would do either 30 sit-ups or 30 push-ups.

I also was going to do some front squats but instead did more back squats-a 5 x 5 work set.
